The Telepult.Web extension for Chrome, Edge, Opera, Brave, Yandex Browser and Firefox · updated October 13, 2026
1. Who we are
Telepult.Web is an independent browser extension by a private developer. It provides a local remote that processes your video stream during a video call in the browser: backgrounds, masks, stickers, a teleprompter, vanishing from the frame and related effects. The project is not affiliated with the owners of video call services.
2. What data is processed
- Camera video — only in your browser, in real time, to apply effects and pass the processed stream to the meeting service.
- Empty room snapshot — may be stored locally in
chrome.storageon your device. It is not sent to the extension’s servers (the extension has no servers). - Remote settings (enabled platforms, widget URLs, panel state) — locally in
chrome.storage. - Your stickers and teleprompter text — locally in the browser (IndexedDB / tab memory).
- Speech for captions (if you turned them on) — recognized by the browser. The browser may process audio under its vendor’s rules; the extension itself does not send audio anywhere.
- Polygraph (if you turned it on) — the pulse estimate from skin color changes in the frame is computed locally in the browser, is not stored and is not sent anywhere. It is an entertainment feature, not a medical measurement — see the terms of use.
- Caption translation — with translation on, only the text of a phrase may go over the network (the browser’s built-in translator or another mechanism chosen in the product). Video and audio never go there.
The extension does not collect the names and emails of call service accounts, meeting history, chats, contacts or files.
3. Website and ads
The Russian version of the website, senior-frontend-developer.ru, may show ad blocks of the Yandex Advertising Network. To show ads and count statistics, Yandex may process technical data (cookies, IP, browser details) under its own rules: Yandex Privacy Policy. This English version shows no ads.
Both versions of the website use Yandex Metrica and Google Analytics counters — only for website visit statistics, not for extension data.
4. Sharing data with third parties
Video, room snapshots, stickers, teleprompter text and settings are not sent to our servers — there are none.
The only optional network transfer by the extension is the text of a phrase for caption translation, if translation is on.
Widgets you connect yourself by link (for example music or a calendar) load in an iframe; those services’ own policies and your browser sign-in apply to them.
The video stream still reaches the meeting participants through the infrastructure of the chosen video call service — just as it does without the extension. We only replace the local frame before it is sent.
5. Permissions
- Scripts on the pages of supported video call services in the browser — to intercept the local video stream and show the remote UI.
storage— to store the room reference, settings and the list of enabled platforms locally.
Computer vision models and their code are part of the extension package and run locally; model code is not downloaded from external servers.
6. Storage
Data is stored only on your device (chrome.storage.local, IndexedDB). You can delete it by removing the extension or clearing the extension’s data in the browser.
7. Children
The extension is not intended for children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about children.
8. Changes
This policy may be updated when functionality changes. The current version is always available at this address.

10. Independence
Telepult.Web is an independent project by a private developer. It is not created, endorsed or supported by the owners of the video call services the extension may work on.
Platform names on the website and in the interface are used only to indicate compatibility. The extension does not modify the servers of call services and works only with the video stream and the interface on the user’s device. Users are responsible for following the terms of use of the service they choose.
If you represent a rights holder and believe that the use of names or materials infringes your rights, write to [email protected] — the matter will be reviewed as soon as possible.
